Kyle Auringer
Kyle graduated from St. John's University in 2012 with a degree in Biology. Upon graduating, he spent a year teaching English and Biology in the village of Hanga, Tanzania in the southwest corner of the country. He has also completed service work in Haiti, Zambia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Currently, he works at the Mayo Clinic as a Supervisor in the Cytogenetics Laboratory. Broc Auringer, MBA/HCM
Broc graduated from St. John's University in 2016 with a degree in Global Business Leadership with a minor in Hispanic Studies, as well as a Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in Healthcare Management at Columbia Southern University in 2023. He spent a full semester studying both Business and Spanish in Chile and volunteered as a music teacher at St. Peters School in Vina del Mar. He visited the site of the Medical Clinic in Bouyaha in the summer of 2017, and will return again very soon. Broc works as a Business Analyst within the Strategy Department at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Broc’s wife, Deanna, is also very active in Auringer Connections. Jennifer Smith, APRN, C.N.P., M.S.N.
Jennifer graduated from Vanderbilt University with an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree. She has traveled to Pignon and Bouyaha, Haiti three times with St. Johns church based out of Kasson, MN; most recently as team lead in June 2017. Her focus in bringing western medicine into these communities continues to be health and wellness education; specifically hydration, hand hygiene and women’s health. Currently Jennifer works as a Nurse Practitioner at Mayo Clinic with the hospital based Hematology group. Charlie Meyer
Charlie graduated in 2017 from Creighton University with degree in Neuroscience. He has had a passion for mission work that brought him and founders Kyle and Broc together. Joining the team in 2017 as a web and social media manager, Charlie has tasked with bringing our mission to your attention. In 2020, Charlie began serving as a board member and while he has not traveled to any of our project sites yet, he is anxiously awaiting the opportunity. Charlie currently works as a patient care assistant at the Mayo Clinic while applying to advanced degree programs in the healthcare field.
