Reflection: The importance of Close Connections

As we look forward to our Shrimp Boil this weekend (Sunday, January 15th), I wanted to share my thoughts as well as gratitude for our supporters.

Our organization is absolutely blessed with a strong base of “Close Connections”; a term affectionally given to those who have followed our journey beginning with the medical clinic in Haiti. On December 10th, 2022, Auringer Connections hosted a Christmas Dinner with our Close Connections. We shared progress of the clinic in Haiti, discussed steps moving forward with construction, and shared upcoming fundraising ideas (including the upcoming shrimp boil).  The Christmas Dinner was a great reminder of our mission to all of us, as well as the importance of using our connections to continue growing so we may expand our reach.

Fast forward to January, we have experienced a welcomed increase of supporters. From our Close Connections, we’ve created a relationship with Chaotic Good Brewing in Kasson, KTTC’s Midwest Access, and have expanded our audience significantly.  We had the opportunity to make our first TV debut with Midwest Access at KTTC and discussed our project in Haiti as well as our upcoming shrimp boil. We are up to about 90 tickets sold for our shrimp boil- and the remaining tickets are going fast! This relatively quick increase of support shows how just a few connections can make a world of difference.

In reflecting on the recent month, I wanted THANK our Close Connections for helping expand our reach. We are so excited for this shrimp boil and the opportunity to make even more meaningful connections with you all.

Best,

Broc
